The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting an Open House/Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the New Jail Addition on July 25 & 26, 2024.
On Thursday, July 25, 2024, there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 2:00 pm and the Jail will be open for tours until 4:00 pm.
On Friday, July 26, 2024, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office will have an Open House with tours from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Parking for these events will be in the gated area behind the new jail addition, with overflow parking on the corner of East Spring Street and Maple Avenue. Deputies posted at the entrances to assist with parking and answer any questions.
Those entering the facility will need to abide by facility rules/regulations (no cell phones, pictures, or video of inside the facility, no weapons of any type, no bags/backpacks, etc. will be allowed).
An adult must accompany all minors.
All adults will be required to present a valid photo ID.
All subjects entering the facility will be subject to a search if warranted.
