VEC Trains Crossville/Cumberland County Emergency Agencies on How to Safely Respond to Downed Power Lines and Poles

The Crossville/Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency reports this week that first responders from all emergency agencies in Crossville and Cumberland County were provided training by Volunteer Energy Cooperative staff on how to safely respond to emergency calls involving downed power lines/poles. These instructors facilitated 6 sessions to allow for full-time and volunteer responders the chance to and learn how to safely do their jobs. The EMA is very thankful for this opportunity provided by a great community partner. They also thank the Cumberland Co. Community Complex for use of their facility to host the training, and to all the departments that sent personnel to train with the EMA.
