Due to medical reasons, 7th District Cumberland County Board of Education member Rebecca Hamby has submitted a letter of resignation from the school board effective September 1st.
The Cumberland County Commission will either appoint someone to the vacant seat, or it will appear on the November ballot.
Hamby is expected to be at the August 22nd Cumberland County Board of Education regular scheduled meeting at 6pm.
