An investigation is underway in Clarksville, Tennessee after a sleeping 6-year-old was left alone for about an hour in a parked school bus after the driver reportedly didn’t conduct a required safety check.
A maintenance worker heard the child’s cries for help Tuesday morning. The little boy was taken to the school nurse and reportedly given fluids.
The driver has been assigned to alternative work while the incident is being investigated by the Human Resources Department.
