Search Warrant Leads to Drug Arrest in Putnam County

A Putnam County man faces a host of drug charges after Deputies of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Investigation Division executed a search warrant Tuesday (9/10/2024) at the home of Deon Jerome Larkins on Dixon Lane in reference to the manufacture, sell, and delivery of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

According to a press release, Larkins attempted to destroy some of the drugs by emptying large bags of methamphetamine and a powdery substance down the kitchen sink; however, Detectives were able to recover a portion of the evidence. Detectives seized a variety of drugs that included fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, ecstasy, suboxone, marijuana, and a small amount of US currency. Detectives also recovered baggies, scales, and other various paraphernalia items.

Larkins was charged with 3 counts of manufacture/sale/delivery of a Schedule I drug, manufacture/sale/delivery of methamphetamine, tampering with evidence, and 2 counts of simple possession.

Larkins has a total bond of $114,000 with a court date set as October 28, 2024. (Press release courtesy PCSO)
