Multiple pets have died in a morning fire in Putnam County. The Fire Department was dispatched shortly before 6am Monday (12/23/2024) to a garage fire on High Flats Road in far eastern Putnam County. Upon arrival, a 2-bay garage was found to be fully involved with roof collapse. Crews were able to stop the fire from involving the house but it did sustain some damage to the siding. The fire is believed to be accidental in nature and no one was injured. Sadly, the owners did lose some pets in the blaze.
