Roane County Sheriff’s Office Activates Winter Storm Snow Plan Friday Afternoon – Response Changes

Because of deteriorating road conditions, the Roane County Sheriff’s Office activated their emergency snow plan Friday afternoon to prioritize public and officer safety.  The Sheriff’s Office said Friday they would continue to respond to emergency calls, including accidents involving injuries, although the response time may be delayed.  However, the Roane Couny Sheriff’s Office temporarily suspended responses to non-emergency calls, including accidents without injuries. If you are involved in a non-injury crash, please exchange information with the other driver, take photos if possible, and contact your insurance company.  The Roane County Sheriff’s Office asks everyone to please stay home unless absolutely necessary.  The Sheriff’s Office said it would post on Facebook when they shift back to normal response.
