The bridge on Sparta Highway is expected to be opened in the coming days. The span across the Obed River was closed in September of 2023 to be completely replaced with a new structure. It was originally scheduled to reopen last November. Officials had hoped to reopen by January 31st, but weather has delayed the finishing touches, with a likely opening now sometime in February.
