A Fairfield Glade resident filed a report with the Fairfield Glade Police Department after discovering over $4,000 in unauthorized transactions on his Synchrony credit card. The victim, who uses the card exclusively for fuel purchases at Food City Gas’N Go, attempted to purchase gas on March 21st, but was informed that his card was in the negatives, despite a $2,000 limit and his regular $250 monthly payments. Synchrony then notified him of several charges at a Sam’s Express station in Nashville. Even more concerning, his statement showed transactions made after the card had been deactivated on March 21. Synchrony is currently disputing the charges and investigating the issue.
