Tennessee lawmakers have passed a bill that effectively bans the sale of hemp flower.  The bill limits THCa to less than .3% concentration. The bill also takes oversight of hemp from the Agricultural Department and makes the Alcoholic Beverage Commission the regulator for hemp sales.  The bill also attempts to crack down on sales by gas stations and convenience stores by requiring that hemp only be sold at businesses with existing alcohol licenses, hemp-specific shops and establishments that only allow customers over 21 years of age. The bill also puts a tax on hemp-derived products with fifty percent (50%) to be appropriated for use by local governments for local road infrastructure projects.
