Knoxville’s professional soccer team, One Knox SC, set a USL League 1 record in attendance over the weekend.
One Knox plays in the brand new Covenant Health Park, the same stadium the Knoxville Smokies use for baseball. A record breaking 6,378 filled the stands Saturday to see Knoxville defeat FC Tulsa 2-2 (4-2 in penalties). The 6,378 that showed up to the Old City set a new United Soccer League League One record. The record was previously held by the Richmond Kickers in their contest against AV Alta FC who sported 5,542 footy supporters.
One Knox SC’s next home match will be on May 9th against Forward Madison FC.
