By Allyson Hutchison Jun 25, 2025 | 3:17 PM

Tennessee Artemis is offering a hands-on Wilderness First Aid course in partnership with the Nantahala Outdoor Center—and just a few spots remain. The weekend event includes 16 hours of instruction, covering patient assessment and basic care for common injuries and illnesses encountered in the outdoors.

Recommended for hikers, hunters, camp staff, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds, the course features both classroom sessions and realistic scenarios. Participants will also receive tree stand safety training led by Custom Gear Modifications out of Clinton, Tennessee.

On-site camping with outfitter tents and wood stoves will be available. Meals and campfire gatherings are included, providing time to build connections with fellow attendees. The event is designed for women who love the outdoors and are looking to build both skills and community.
