The undefeated Lady Vols soccer team stays undefeated after taking down Georgia Southern 1-0 in a Sunday afternoon showdown in Knoxville.
One goal was all that was needed by UT after gaining their 7th straight shutout. Cayden Norris picked up her 7th clean sheet as being the woman in goal for the Lady Vols. That game winning goal was scored by Jenna Stayart in the 50th minute. Stayart scored her 3rd goal of the season which puts her in second place on the team behind Alivia Stott and Shae O’Rourke who are tied for first with 5 goals a piece.
Sunday’s contest was the last non-conference game for Tennessee this year. They will open up SEC play on Friday on the road taking on Mississippi State in Starkville.
