The New Year will bring a regulatory shift for hemp-derived cannabinoids. House bill 1376 effectively bans products with high levels of intoxicating cannabinoids, including THCA, by setting a total THC limit of 0.3% by weight. Regulation will also move from the Department of Agriculture to the Alcoholic Beverage Commission. The bill restricts sales to in person and only at licensed locations. Sales are banned in grocery and convenience stores.
