The McMinnville Police Department is thanking Chief Self of the Fairfield Glade Police Department for providing training to McMinnville Police, McMinnville Fire, EMS, Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies and THP Officers during their CarFit and Yellow DOT event.  CarFit is an educational program for older adults to increase safety in their own vehicles. Participants in the Yellow DOT program receive a yellow decal to be placed on their vehicle letting first responders know that they have a medical information packet in the glove box.  The Fairfield Glade Police Department said the event was highly rewarding and empowered 31 drivers to become more assured in their vehicles through the CarFit program, 6 vehicles joined the state-wide Yellow DOT program, and two car seats were carefully examined.

The Fairfield Glade Police Department said they appreciate the opportunity to collaborate on these initiatives to promote enhanced road safety throughout Tennessee.  On that note, the Fairfield Glade Police Department will be at the Cumberland County Health Department on Thursday May 28th at 11 a.m. with the Child Passenger Safety Team from surrounding areas conducting seat checks ensuring our most prized citizens stay safe.  Come out and let them check your seat for safety.  (Photo McMinnville CarFit/Yellow DOT event courtesy Fairfield Glade PD)
