Pickett County Man Pleads Guilty to Second Degree Murder of Wife

A Pickett County man entered a plea of guilty on Monday to the Second Degree murder of his wife last year.

Johnny Ray Foutch, age 72, is accused of fatally shooting Theresa Marie Foutch in the back on July 13, 2025 at their residence in Byrdstown.

According to a press release from District Attorney General Bryant C. Dunaway, Johnny Ray Foutch was sentenced to serve 20 years in the custody of the Department of Corrections at 100% day for day.
