At the November monthly meeting, the Cumberland County Commission approved a resolution allowing the Cumberland County Sheriff and Deputies to keep their service weapon and badge upon retiring from Cumberland County government after 25 years of service. The resolution also allows those retiring due to a service-related disability, or the family of those killed in the line of duty, to retain their badge and duty weapon.
