Stone Memorial High School traveled to Dayton Thursday night to Rhea County High School to have a Tri-Meet against the Rhea County High School and Soddy Daisy High School. After a close match up with the Eagles of Rhea County Stone Memorial lost their first dual of the season 46-33. The Panthers then took on the Trojans of Soddy Daisy and lost again 66-12. Making the Panthers 2-2 on the year.
The girls team did have individual matches. Jaylen Patton, Paige Patton, Sarah Pape, and Haley Suggs won their matches while Anna Scoville wrestled two matches winning one but dropping the other.
The boys team will have a chance to bounce back Saturday as they wrestle the I-40 Clash at SMHS. Stone will wrestle 5 duals against teams from around the state in the main gym. The girls will have the I-40 Clash Individual Tournament in the Auxiliary Gym next door. Wrestling will start at 9:00 AM
