FFG PD Warns Of VEC Phone Scam

Captain Fred Sherrill with the Fairfield Glade Police Department has issued a statement warning residents about a VEC phone scam.  Some people have gotten phone calls from a person claiming to be from VEC saying their last bill was lost in the mail.  They are then instructed to pay now to avoid having their power cut off.  This is a scam.  The Fairfield Glade Police Department is advising residents to hang up and contact VEC directly for their account status.
