In a special called session Tuesday morning, Crossville City Council members approved the 2nd reading of an ordinance amending the budget for the purchase of the Village Inn. The 3rd and final reading is expected at a special call on December 28th. While there have been no clear plans on what to do with the property, Mayor RJ Crawford indicated it would likely be demolished. Crawford added that before moving forward with any evictions from the facility, the city would work with local agencies to ensure all residents are properly relocated by the end of next year or sooner.
