IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM VEC:
VEC has received notification from TVA that Step 50 of the TVA Load Curtailment Plan has been initiated. Due to the impacts the cold weather system is having on the electrical system and power supply within the Tennessee Valley, we request that all VEC member’s try to limit electrical usage as much as possible throughout the day, today and tomorrow. Please avoid using any non-essential large electrical appliances, keep lights and small appliances off when not in use, and please consider lowering your thermostat set-point. We understand the imposition this request may cause, and we appreciate anyone that is able and willing to help during this time of need.
