The 7th ranked Tennessee Volunteers opened up the SEC part of this seasons schedule in Oxford, Mississippi to take on the Ole Miss Rebels. It was a tough start for the Vols as they were down at the half by 6 points. However the Volunteers was able to rally in the second half and defeat the Rebels 63-59.
Leading the scoring for Tennessee was Santiago Vescovi with 22 points and Zakai Zeigler with 13 points. The leading scorers for the Rebels were Jaemyn Brakefield with 18 points and Amaree Abram with 10 points.
