Human Remains Found In Putnam County Believed To Be Missing Person, Perry Isaac Bowman

Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris has announced that skeletal remains found Wednesday (12/28/2022) are likely those of 35-year-old Perry Isaac Bowman of Baxter.  Mr. Bowman was reported missing on December 1, 2022 by his father who said he had not spoken to his son since September 23, 2022. The remains were located in the southern part of Putnam County in a wooded area near Bethlehem Church of Christ by citizens, who are local firefighters, that live in the area.  The remains have been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. This is an ongoing investigation and the Sheriff’s Office says no further information can be given at this time.
