High School Basketball – State Sectional

The Stone Memorial High School Panthers played the Falcons at Fulton High School in the State Sectionals on Monday. The Falcons posted a 58-54 win over the Panthers and they advance to the BlueCross Basketball State Championships to be held March 14th through the 18th at MTSU. SMHS trailed by 14 as the teams entered the final quarter, but the Panthers rallied and tied the game with under a minute to play. Fulton hit four free throws in the final seconds to pick up the win. The Panthers end their season with a 25 and 7 record, they claimed the District 7AAA regular season title, and were ranked third in the state in the final Associated Press State Top 10 of the season.
