Security Guard Accidentally Shoots Co-Worker At Erlanger Hospital

A Walden security guard was arrested by Chattanooga police after he accidentally shot a co-worker at Erlanger Hospital.   Jayce Jenkins and Ryan Howard were working Friday night and “joking around”.  Detectives say Jenkins pointed a firearm at Howard’s leg and shot him in the groin area. Jenkins said he did not know there was a bullet in the chamber.  Both parties reportedly admitted they frequently joke in this manner.  Jenkins has been charged with reckless endangerment.  Howard said he does not want to press charges.
