While much of the state began opening almost two weeks again, Nashville, the hardest hit city in Tennessee, remained under a safer-at-home order. Nashville Mayor John Cooper has announced the city will begin phase one of reopening on Monday with retail and restaurants required to maintain a maximum occupancy of 50 percent capacity. Gyms, and hair and nail salons in Music City will remain closed, as well as bars and entertainment venues. Mayor Cooper urges those who can work from home to continue to do so and suggests all residents were masks or face coverings in public.
