A Pikeville man and woman were killed Tuesday when their pickup collided with a semi-truck. It happened around 12:30 p.m. on Highway 127 at Ninemile Cross Road in Bledsoe County. According to the THP, 50-year-old Michael Lee, of Pikeville, was driving a 2000 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Highway 127 when Mr. Lee reportedly made a sharp left turn before turning back in front of a semi that was behind the pickup truck. The semi sideswiped the pickup and killing both Mr. Lee and his passenger, 37-year-old Tara Rasdall, also of Pikeville. The driver of the tractor-trailer, 36-year-old Kelvin Anderson, of Savannah, Georgia was not injured. The THP says no charges will be filed in the accident.
