The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Offices is asking the community to join them in welcoming recently hired Deputy Tyler Gresham. On its Facebook page, the Sheriff’s Office notes Deputy Gresham’s commitment to service began when he joined the United States Army as an infantryman. After completing his military service, Deputy Gresham began working for Knox County as a patrolman. During his four years with the department, he served as a crisis negotiator and was a member of the gang intelligence unit. In search of a change of scenery and to be closer to his family, he moved to Crossville. Deputy Gresham’s experience and expertise were quickly recognized, and he was soon selected to attend SWAT school at the end of April. The Sheriff’s Office says in a short time, Deputy Gresham has already made a positive impact to the team.
