A 39-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident early Wednesday morning in Etowah at the intersection of US Highway 411 S and County Road 859. His motorcycle was found torn in half in a field nearby. First responders discovered the body of Joshua Lowe in an overgrown area of the field. He had passed away from his injuries. Officials did not say what may have caused the crash.
May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and the Fairfield Glade Police Department will host a Motorcycle Safety Awareness Event on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 11 AM to 1PM at Cumberland Medical Center Wellness Compex, 130 Stonehenge Drive, in Fairfield Glade. The event is free and all ages are encouraged to attend.
