Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a Blaylock Road residence in response to a phone call from a man who claimed two men were coming to shoot him and that he had been shot. The male was identified as 23-year-old Joseph Harrigan and he had not been shot. Mr. Harrigan reportedly told police he had smoked meth on Sunday morning. Officers advised Harrigan to stay at the home. Minutes later a light colored S10 pulled into Vandever Market at a high rate of speed and police made contact. The driver of the truck, Joseph Harrigan, said he was being chased and then he jumped into the back of his truck and started beating on the windows with a flashlight. Mr. Harrigan was placed under arrest for the safety of himself and the public.
