“Operation: Minus 21”; White County Sheriff’s Office Reports 12 Businesses Allegedly Selling Products Illegally To Youth

In a News Release posted to the White County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the department reports that “Operation: Minus 21” has resulted in citations being issued to a dozen businesses for allegedly selling products illegally to youths.  The businesses, some of which are located in Sparta, are set to appear in court for selling alcoholic beverages, vaping products and tobacco products to an underage individual who was working as an informant for the White County Sheriff’s Office.  The Sheriff’s Office did not immediately release the names of the businesses but did indicate their permits and licenses could be suspended.
