Carter Pickel of Stone Memorial High School is the lucky student who won a vehicle in the 17th Annual Dave Kirk Automotive Drawing held Thursday night at Stone Memorial High School in Crossville. Dave Kirk provide five vehicles to select from and Carter chose a white GMC Colorado. Before the drawing, Dave Kirk addressed the audience and thanked the community for allowing Dave Kirk Automotive to give away its 17th vehicle. Mr. Kirk explained that the “The Key To Your Success Is Attendance” program is not about perfect attendance but more about showing up and being on time to school and to promote basic values. Mr. Kirk said, “We hope some of the seeds we have planted here will help these young people in the future.” Carter wasn’t the only winner of the evening. Hunter Crowley of CCHS, whose name was the first drawn, won a new laptop. And over two dozen students won more than $3,000 in increments of $50, $100, $200 and $500 from Dave Kirk Automotive. Freshmen and Sophmores were not present due to social distancing. Those students may pick up their cash prizes when they get their report cards this Friday morning.
