A Putnam County man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed someone five times in Knox County. WVLT reports it happened Friday night in the Mascot area. The victim told police that 21-year-old Dustin Harbaugh, of Cookeville, stabbed him in the chest and abdomen while trying to take his wallet. Harbaugh was tracked down, taken into custody and charged with 2nd Degree Attempted Murder and Especially Aggravated Robbery. The victim was taken to UT Medical Center. His condition was not immediately released.
