The Crossville City Council, in work session for July, discussed a proposal to relocation Fire Station 2 to a location along Interstate Drive next to the Crossville Hardwoods plant. The proposed property is a 4.63 acre tract currently owned by Cotton Patch Properties. The owners have offered the property at $150,000 per acre for a total of $694,500. Fire Chief Chris South said the location will put firefighters and medics in the heart of the city industrial district. The item will be on next week’s monthly meeting agenda.
