Crossville City Council approves modified street closure for Lunch on the Lawn

In regular session on Tuesday, the Crossville City Council approved a modified request from the Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity to close 2^nd street for the Lunch on the Lawn fundraiser. The organization had originally requested a portion of Main Street directly in front of the courthouse, however, some council members were concerned about closing a main thoroughfare in the middle of a Friday. Several options were discussed during a council work session earlier this month, but the organizers of the event changed their request prior to Tuesday’s meeting. Council approved the closing of 2^nd Street and parking in front of the courthouse for the event to be held September 15^th.
