It was a big midweek battle between rivals as #1 Alabama traveled to Knoxville to take on #10 Tennessee coincidentally on the third Wednesday in February and exactly four months to the day Tennessee defeated Alabama in football. The Vols and the Tide went into halftime tied at 29. But after Tennessee forced Alabama to 19 turnovers the Volunteers knocked off the #1 Crimson Tide with a final score of 68-59.
Sanitago Vescovi and Zakai Ziegler both led the Vols with 15 points a piece. Jonas Adioo scored 12 points for the Vols and Uros Plavsic was able to score 10. Leading scorers for the Tide were Brandon Miller with 15, Jaden Bradley with 14, and Nimari Burnett scoring 11.
