Tragic Accident At Bridgestone

Tragedy struck at Bridgestone Firestone Monday morning when a steel mold weighing almost a ton fell and pinned a contractor for Cumberland Machine and taking his life in the process. The victim was identified as 33 year old Beau Christopher Lowe of Morrison.
According to Major Jason Walker of the Warren Co. Sheriffs Dept. A steel mold, weighing approximately 1400 to 2000 pounds, fell on Lowe pinning him under the mold. A fellow employee found him laying under the mold and called for help, several employees were able to lift the mold off, but Lowe never regained consciousness. EMS responded to the scene. He was transported to Riverpark Hospital and pronounced dead once they arrived with major internal injuries.
In a press release, Director of Communications for Bridgestone Americas, Inc. said they are currently investigating the situation and have no further details at this time. Weaver goes on to say that their deepest sympathies goes to Lowe’s family, friends and co-workers at the Warren Co. operation. Counseling is being made available to those in need of support.
