Pistol Found On Road At Intersection of Old Lantana and Justice Street

Crossville Police were called to the intersection of Old Lantana and Justice Street Tuesday afternoon when a woman found a loaded 9mm pistol on the roadway.  She waited until Police arrived to make sure no children would grab the weapon.  About 2 hours later, Police were contacted by a man who said he was working in the area and had placed the firearm in the bed of his truck.  He later discovered his tailgate was open and the gun was missing.  He was able to accurately describe the weapon and the pistol was returned to him.
