The University of Tennessee and Food City have teamed up for a $20 million naming rights deal

The University of Tennessee has partnered with Food City in a 10 year, $20 million dollar agreement that renames the Thompson-Boling Arena. The arena’s new moniker is to be Thompson-Boling Area at Food City Center with the first event under the new name to be held this Friday, August 25^th. School officials say they will use the money to modernize the look of the building as well as other upgrades to the facility.
