TVA Approves 4.5% Rate Hike

The Tennessee Valley Authority has approved a 4.5 percent rate hike to pay for a $15 billion long-term in investment plan to build additional generation and upgrade the existing system over the next three years. TVA says the rate hike translated to an average increase of about $3.50 on a typical residential electric bill each month.
