Crossville City Council Takes No Action On Bid Proposal To Study/Market Indoor Rec Facility

Sep 13, 2023 | 6:38 AM

The Crossville City Council, in regular session on Tuesday, took no action on a proposal to study and market an indoor recreational facility. Councilmember Scot Shanks initially made the motion to approve the bid from E. Allen Brandon to provide marketing services to counter misinformation about a future facility and to provide a more detailed vision to the public. Councilmember Mike Turner questioned the timing, saying they really don’t have anything to promote until they have a cost and a design. Mayor RJ Crawford added they had already made many missteps and also felt that council should wait until they have firmer cost numbers and designs. Shanks withdrew his motion.
