According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Tennessee is seeing a 31.5% increase in Covid-19 cases, but only 3% of the cases are emergency department visits.
Earlier this month, Johnny Presley, a physician’s assistant in the emergency department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, told WZTV they are seeing a rise in Covid but most cases are mild with flu like symptoms. Presley says people should wash their hands properly and if you are sick or around someone who is sick, try to keep some distance.
Doctors expect Tennessee’s COVID-19 cases to continue to rise along with other viruses as people are back in school, attending football games and holiday gatherings.
