The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reports 23 boating related fatalities on the state’s waterways so far this year. TWRA released the name of one of the latest victims, 61-year-old Gary Marcel, of Murfreesboro, who was reported missing on September 13, 2023 while boating on Percy Priest Lake. Mr. Marcel reportedly was not wearing a life jacket and the incident is still under investigation.
