The Panthers and Jets played host to Region opponents Friday night.
At Stone Memorial High School, the Panthers took on the DeKalb County Tigers. Each of the previous three times the two teams met, the game was decided by a single point. This meeting went to the Panthers as they recorded a 27-24 victory when the Tigers attempt for a game tying field goal on the final play came up short. SMHS improves to 5 and 1 and 3 and 0 in Region play.
At Cumberland County High School, the Jets played host to the second ranked team in the state, the Upperman High School Bees. The road team posted a 34-0 win. The Jets are now 2 and 4 on the season.
Friday, September 29th, Stone Memorial will play host to Livingston Academy, the action airs live on Mix 99.3 and the CCHS Jets travel to White County with live coverage on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY.
