After three rounds of voting, the Crossville City Council approved the hiring of a new Municipal Court Judge. In a special session on Tuesday, council members considered the applicants for City Judge after the resignation of Ivy Gardner Mayberry last month. Six local attorneys had expressed interest in the position that would also include duties as an Administrative Hearing Officer. Tiffany S. Lyon, who also serves as the alternate hearing officer, garnered a majority of votes. Lyon is set to be sworn in on Thursday (10/5/23).
