Crossville Fire Rescue, Cumberland County EMS and Crossville Police responded to a serious crash Wednesday morning on Highway 127 North in front of Lowes. Around 11:30am two vehicles were involved with multiple patients. Three people, including a young child, were extricated with the Jaws of Life by Fire Rescue personnel and airlifted to a regional trauma center and one patient transported to CMC by Cumberland County EMS. The southbound lanes of Highway 127 were shut down during the accident and two aeromedical helicopters landed at the scene and one at the helipad at CMC.
