VEC has announced a planned power outage for the Crossville Service Area on Saturday, October 14, 2023 beginning at 10 p.m. Central time. The outage is expected to last about 8 hours and is due to TDOT moving two transmission lines as part of the Hwy. 127 project. Affected areas include those serviced by the Lantana Substation. In addition, Crossville Feeder 244 will have a partial outage. This outage will affect about 9,559 members; all affected members are being notified. During the outage remember to keep freezers and refrigerators closed. Do not use a gas stove or gas oven to heat your home. Have alternate plans for refrigerating medicines or using power-dependent medical devices.
