In Putnam County, TDOT will be raising the speed limit back to 45mph on the section of Hwy 70 from West Jackson Street towards Baxter, which was lowered due to the tornado cleanup. This is expected to happen Monday, June 22nd, according to Cookeville Mayor Ricky Shelton.
