Volunteer Energy Cooperative has announced two brief outages planned for the Crab Orchard substation this weekend. The first outage will be Friday night, October 27, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 10:30 p.m. Central Time. The second outage will be Saturday morning, October 28, beginning at 5:30 a.m. and ending at 6:00 a.m. Central Time.
The Crab Orchard substation outage will affect Crab Orchard, Crossville, Grandview, Ozone and Rockwood.
VEC Members in this outage will only be out twice during this event for no more than 30 minutes each time.
These planned outages part of the TDOT Highway 127 South project and will be conducted to allow switching for the TDOT 69 Kilovolt line construction for Lantana that same evening.
