The State Fire Marshal’s Office reminds Tennesseans that now is the time the check the batteries in your smoke alarms. A working smoke alarm gives you the precious seconds you need to escape a potentially deadly home fire. Since 2012, over 450 lives have been saved by free smoke alarms installed through the “Get Alarmed, Tennessee!” smoke alarm program.
